Fusion Kitchens & Cabinetry is a specialist cabinetry business delivering well-considered kitchens and custom joinery throughout Auckland and the eastern Coromandel.
The business was established by Cam with a background in high-end furniture making, where precision, proportion, and build quality are fundamental. As the work evolved, it became clear there was strong demand for the same level of care and technical thinking within kitchens and architectural cabinetry. That shift led to the formation of Fusion Kitchens & Cabinetry, bringing furniture-making principles into functional, high-use spaces.
Today, Fusion operates as a small, highly experienced team working across design, CNC programming, manufacturing, and installation. Each stage of the process is informed by practical knowledge of how cabinetry is built, installed, and used. This results in clear documentation, considered detailing, and cabinetry that is resolved properly before it reaches site.
Much of our work has come through word of mouth and repeat clients — a reflection of the care taken by the entire team, both in the quality of the cabinetry and in how projects are delivered. Clients work directly with people who understand the process, take responsibility for their work, and value doing the job properly.
How We Work
Fusion is a small team by design, allowing us to stay closely involved and keep communication clear throughout each project.
Our designers work directly with clients to navigate layouts, constraints, and technical challenges. Their skills set allows them to resolve complex design problems, and ensure projects are approached with clarity and buildability from the outset.
From there our designers work closely with our cabinetmakers, who build and install the cabinetry. This reduces handovers and ensures decisions made early in the process are carried through to completion.
We also coordinate with builders and other trades. Clear, detailed plans are provided so electricians, plumbers, and contractors understand what’s required, helping installations run smoothly and avoiding issues on site.
Design, manufacture, and installation are managed in-house, with each project seen through from start to finish by the same team.
Our Craft & Materials
Our material and hardware choices are guided by experience. We specify products we trust to perform well, age appropriately, and suit the way cabinetry is actually used.
Where possible, we prioritise New Zealand–made materials and suppliers, along with products selected for durability and responsible manufacturing. We work with clients to choose finishes and details that balance appearance, longevity, and budget.
Construction methods and finishes are chosen with long-term performance in mind, so the cabinetry continues to perform as expected over time.
A Wide Range of Expertise
While kitchens form a large part of our work, they’re only one part of it.
We design and build inbuilt cabinetry, wardrobes, vanities, libraries, and architectural storage for both renovations and new builds. Each space is considered individually, with solutions shaped by how it will be used and how it fits within the wider home.
The same approach is applied regardless of scale — from a single piece through to fullhome cabinetry.
Group Housing & Development
Alongside bespoke residential work, we partner with builders and developers on group housing and spec builds.
These projects require clarity, consistency, and reliable delivery. We provide repeatable cabinetry solutions supported by clear documentation and dependable installation, making them easy to integrate into the wider build programme.
