Job Process

From your first consultation to the final installation, our process is structured to give you confidence at every stage. We guide you through the decisions, keep communication clear, and ensure your cabinetry is crafted and installed with exceptional precision.

01. Consultation / Design

Your project begins with a personalised consultation — either onsite or at the Fusion Kitchens studio — with Cam or Jay. This is where we discuss your goals, materials, accessories, layout options and budget. To ensure accuracy, appliance brands and model numbers (or dimensions at minimum) are required at this stage. We also need to know what flooring you intend to use. These make a big impact on the kitchen design & knowing this information is vital n the design process & helps speed it up. Following this meeting, we prepare a detailed quote based on everything discussed.

02. Quoting & Preliminary Plans

Your quote will be presented in person at our studio or emailed to you for review. Quotes typically take 5–7 working days to prepare. If you choose to move forward, we then develop full CAD plans (2D and 3D). These detailed drawings take an additional 5–10 working days and allow you to clearly visualise your project before moving ahead.

03. Client Approval & Deposit

Once the quote and plans are approved, a 50% deposit invoice is issued. Payment secures your project price and installation date. At this point, plans should be shared with all relevant trades (builders, plumbers, electricians) to ensure everyone is working from accurate information.

04. Final Site Measure

When the space is fully prepared, we return for a final site measure using laser equipment to confirm every dimension with precision. Please ensure the space is clean and clear for accurate measuring. Manufacturing lead times vary depending on workload and project size but are generally 6–8 weeks from this date.

05. Install Confirmation

Two weeks prior to installation, we will check in to ensure the project is tracking on schedule. By this stage you should have received the progress invoice (45%), which is due prior to the original scheduled installation date.

06. Delivery & Installation

Cabinetry is normally delivered one day before installation. Installation typically takes 1–3 days, depending on the size and complexity of the project. For stone benchtops, our benchtop team will complete a template once cabinetry is installed; stone installation occurs 7–10 working days later. Formica benchtops are usually installed at the same time as the cabinetry.

07. Completion & Final Sign-Off

Once benchtops are installed and any final adjustments or remedial items are completed, the final invoice (5%) is issued. This marks the completion of your project, with your new space ready to enjoy.
