Once the plans are approved it is the clients responsibility that these are passed onto the relative trades (ie; builders, plumbers, electricians) working on the project. The plans should be reviewed and understood by all parties with any relative queries being raised prior to site work commencing. We are available to assist your trades with any queries relating to the cabinetry. If any building work which directly impacts and/or compromises the structural integratory of your building, your local council should be advised.
Removal of existing kitchen including benchtops, plumbing items and appliances is to be carried out by others. Any modification to the space is to be carried out by the clients trades. Note that all plumbing must be capped and all electrical outlets disconnected.
All new plumbing and electrical works should be carried out to suit the approved kitchen plans. This will be checked when the final site measure takes place.
Prior to the final site measure the client shall have made decisions on the type of flooring, it's thickness and it's install time (before or after the cabinetry). This is important as will impact the final heights of your cabinetry and also appliance spaces. Note that if a floating floor (laminate or timber over an underlay) is selected then the cabinetry must be installed prior to the flooring being laid. Where designs have cabinetry which meet the ceiling, GIB cove and/or scotia will need to be confirmed as this effects our top scriber/negative detail height.
Prior to manufacturing and once the space is prepared we will organise a final site measure to ensure all dimensions are accurately noted ready for manufacturing. Please ensure the space is clean and clear as we use laser measuring devices. Our manufacturing lead time is subject to change depending on current workloads and size of your project but is generally 6-8 weeks from the time final site measure is taken.
The cabinetry will be delivered on the arranged day which is normally one day prior to the installation date. The installation may take anywhere from 1 to 3 days depending on the size of your project. Once installation is completed we will organise our benchtop team to carry out a template to prepare your stone benchtops. Stone benchtops are installed 7-10 working days after the cabinetry. Note, if using Formica benchtops these are usually installed at the same time as your cabinetry.
Once the benchtops are installed the plumbing and electrical final fit-off may commence. Note, when a sink is undermounted plumbing cannot be connected until 48hours after install to allow the glues to cure accordingly. The sink cabinet is to be cut by your plumber or others to suit the plumbing layout.
Depending on the type of flooring we may need to return to site to fit the toekicks after the flooring has been laid.
